1 In the New Forest their appointment is now regulated by the New Forest Act of 1949 , which provides that there shall be ten verderers in that Forest : the Official Verderer appointed by the Queen , and four others by the Forestry Commissioners , the Minister of Agriculture and others , together with five elected by the Commoners .

9 The restriction is made effective by inserting a condition that there shall be no permitted hours in the evening or only permitted hours in the evening .
10 ( 1 ) On granting or transferring a hotel licence , a restricted hotel licence , a restaurant licence or an entertainment licence in respect of any premises , a licensing board shall , if the applicant so requests , insert in the licence a condition that there shall be no permitted hours in those premises on Sundays .
